«"What was born from a deep desire to serve humanity has become an expression of our service to God."

Eva Bataka, Co-Founder and President of LED

Our History

LED was born from a childhood dream: to alleviate poverty and bring hope to those in need. In 2013, this vision, initially driven by Eva Bataka and shared by other passionate young social advocates like Yaovi Amouzouvi and Ametepe Kodjo, took its first steps on the ground. A first initiative was carried out for children on December 26, 2014. Over time, however, the initial team drifted apart, and activities gradually ceased.

After several years of silence, the dream came back to life in 2024 in the visionary's heart with a renewed conviction: to make LED a channel for comprehensive transformation within communities.
Thus, former collaborators were re-engaged, a new team was formed, and the mission restarted on new foundations. Today, this deep desire to serve humanity has become the expression of a service to God, consolidating the impact of our actions on the ground.

Our Foundations

Our actions are not isolated. They are built on solid foundations, combining the clarity of our vision and mission with the strength of our values and motto.

Our Motto

This is the cycle of our commitment: touching lives through action (Impact), providing the necessary tools (Equip), and seeing mindsets and living conditions sustainably change (Transform).

Our Team

More than a structure, our team is a family of heart and conviction, committed to the transformation of lives and the restoration of destinies. It is composed of passionate women and men who act as true agents of change. It brings together diverse skills around a single goal: to be the hands and feet of LED's vision on the ground. Each member plays their part in turning precariousness into dignity, with integrity and dedication, in order to restore the destinies of those we serve.
